Learn why this is important To whom in may concern, Under the Freedom of Information Act, I am requesting the following information: 1. The total monetary value (£) of enfranchisement receipts from residential lease extensions and freehold transfers where marriage value was paid (i.e. on residential properties where the council is the freeholder and the tenant's lease had an unexpired term of less than 80 years prior to purchase) accrued by Oxford City Council from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2026. 2. What percentage of these receipts (1) were directed into the Housing Revenue Account. Please provide the information via email to this contact address (researchteam@henhamstrategy.co.uk). In accordance with section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), Oxford City Council (OCC) confirms that it holds information falling within the scope of your request.

 

  1.  The total monetary value (£) of enfranchisement receipts from residential lease extensions and freehold transfers where marriage value was paid (i.e. on residential properties where the council is the freeholder and the tenant's lease had an unexpired term of less than 80 years prior to purchase) accrued by Oxford City Council from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2026.

£0.

 

There were no lease extension cases during this period where the unexpired term was less than 80 years. In the enfranchisement cases dealt with by OCC during the period, no marriage value formed part of the calculation. These cases involved low ground rents and were dealt with under the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 (as amended).

 

  2.  What percentage of these receipts (1) were directed into the Housing Revenue Account.

 

Not applicable.

 

As the value of the receipts identified in response to question 1 was £0, there were no such receipts to be directed into the Housing Revenue Account.
