Request

Please provide me with the following information: 1. The total number of parish and town councils within your area 2. The total number of parish and town council electoral wards within your area 3. The total number of CONTESTED wards for TOWN COUNCILS at the ordinary elections in the last ordinary elections 4. The total number of CONTESTED wards for PARISH COUNCILS at the ordinary elections in the last ordinary elections Additionally, please provide copies of the Notices of Uncontested Elections and Declaration of Result of Poll for all parish/town wards in the last ordinary elections For the avoidance of doubt 'ordinary elections' means the elections when all seats on all parishes/towns in the district are up for election.

Response

Please provide me with the following information:

1.The total number of parish and town councils within your area

Four Parish Councils: Blackbird Leys Parish Council, Littlemore Parish Council, Old Marston Parish Council, and Risinghurst and Sandhills Parish Council.

2.The total number of parish and town council electoral wards within your area

Across the four parishes there are ten parish wards. Three of the parishes are warded (Blackbird Leys, Risinghurst & Sandhills and Littlemore) and one is not (Old Marston).

3.The total number of CONTESTED wards for TOWN COUNCILS at the ordinary elections in the last ordinary elections

0 (Oxford doesn't have any town councils)

4.The total number of CONTESTED wards for PARISH COUNCILS at the ordinary elections in the last ordinary elections

Our four parishes elect two at a time (i.e. two in 2022 and two in 2024). Over those two events the number of contested wards/parishes was one.

Additionally, please provide copies of the Notices of Uncontested Elections and Declaration of Result of Poll for all parish/town wards in the last ordinary elections

The results are available here Election results

For the avoidance of doubt 'ordinary elections' means the elections when all seats on all parishes/towns in the district are up for election.
