How many electric vehicle public charging outlets or chargepoints have you installed in your local authority to date that are classed as on-street residential chargepoints, located in residential streets or areas? Please provide figures to the nearest possible date and include the month and the year the figures correspond to. Q2. Q1. How many electric vehicle public charging outlets or charge points have you installed in your local authority to date that are classed as on-street residential chargepoints, located in residential streets or areas? Please provide figures to the nearest possible date and include the month and the year the figures correspond to.

Currently there are 49 on-street charging solutions comprising of bollard and lamppost chargers

2017- 14 Chargepoint sockets installed

2018- 20 Chargepoint sockets installed

2019- 8 Chargepoint sockets installed

2023- 7 Chargepoint sockets installed

Q2. For Question 1, how many on-street residential charging outlets or charge points have you installed to date in your local authority that have been adapted specifically for disabled users? Please provide figures to the nearest possible date and include the month and year the figures correspond to.

8 on street charging sockets were constructed as buildouts on the highway to cater to the limited pavement space and enhance provision for those with accessibility needs in 2019

Q3. For Question 1, how many on-street public charging outlets or chargepoints are positioned in disabled parking bays?

None.

Q4. For Question 1, how many of the on-street residential chargepoints in your area adapted for disabled users conform to the BSI's latest accessible charging specification (PAS 1899:2022)<https://www.bsigroup.com/en-GB/insights-and-media/insights/brochures/pas-1899-electric-vehicles-accessible-charging-specification/>? Please provide figures to the nearest possible date and include the month and year the figures correspond to.

Zero. All on-street CP sockets installed post-2019 have been lamppost chargers. Due to the space restrictions surrounding the CPs, we were unable to conform to the latest PAS 1899:2022 standards during installations

Q5. Does your electric vehicle charging infrastructure strategy include specific considerations for elderly and / or disabled users?

Yes. Our policy objectives are broken into six key themes, one of which is "Facilitating a fair and accessible EV infrastructure for Oxford City". Across all three key strategic areas, there is a commitment to enhancing accessibility for multiple user groups. A link to our EV strategy can be found here.

Our on-street bollard chargers allow for contactless payment, reducing the need for several apps for different charging providers.

Residents can visit the City Council website and use the Zap Map tool to identify nearby public charging sockets.
