Dear Oxford City Council, Having contacted Oxfordshire County Council, they have informed us that the on-street chargers in Oxford that were delivered via the 2 Go Ultra Low Oxford scheme, the charge points are owned and operated by Oxford City Council. With this in mind, please can you answer the following: 1. How many public charge points does this council currently own and operate? 2. Are all the charge points compliant with the 2023 Public Charge Point Regulations? If not all, then how many? 3. What steps have been taken by the council to ensure compliance with the 2023 Public Charge Point Regulations? 4. Has this council experienced any challenges when working to comply with the 2023 Public Charge Point Regulations?

Response

1. How many public charge points does this council currently own and operate? 51 sockets ( single lamppost sockets x 25) the others single or double headed bollard/pole mounted sockets)

2. Are all the charge points compliant with the 2023 Public Charge Point Regulations? If not all, then how many? Our on-street chargers are 7kW or below and so don't need to meet the 2023 regs. All meet the 18th Edition certs as well as OZEV standards.

A majority were installed in 2018-2020. Some have been replaced or upgraded in 2021-2024.

The latest placements in 2024.

3. What steps have been taken by the council to ensure compliance with the 2023 Public Charge Point Regulations? Any new chargers will meet these regs as required

4. Has this council experienced any challenges when working to comply with the 2023 Public Charge Point Regulations? No.
