If the request refers to placing households in our own temporary accommodation, then majority of homeless households have been placed within Oxford City .However we have a number of properties outside of the City and have placed households in Bicester and Didcot.
If a customer requires temporary accommodation (TA) OCC will place them into TA owned and managed by OCC where possible - most TA properties are located within Oxford, except some additional TA properties owned by OCC in Didcot and Bicester. In the instances where there is insufficient OCC owned TA available, customers are normally placed in hotels ,until more suitable accommodation becomes available/while the team are working with the customer to help them with their move on options. When a customer is placed in a hotel, it will normally be in Oxford/Oxfordshire, but customers may be placed in hotels further away, if nothing more suitable is available (or in another area in some instances- for example if they are considered to have a local connection there ,while OCC works with the Local District).
