As an asylum seeker is a defined term, for someone seeking asylum in another place, but has yet to get a legal status/ refugee status. Asylum seekers in this country are housed by the Home Office, and we only rehouse those, who have a status (such as Ukrainian and Afghan refugees, but they are not asylum seekers once they have status, when we house them.)

The Home Office commission ClearSprings to procure accommodation on their behalf to temporarily house asylum seekers whilst awaiting their asylum status to be confirmed.
